A wire rope cross clamp locks two cables together where they cross. It gives a wire grid a rigid joint at every 90° intersection, so you do not have to drill the wall at each crossing point.
The clamp is 316 stainless steel and fits 1/8" to 1/4" (about 3.2–6.4 mm) wire rope (ISO 2408). A hex head grub screw does the clamping, tightened with an Allen key (ISO 2936). Use it for cable railing, trellis runs and wire netting.
Material: 316 stainless steel (marine grade).
Locking: hex head grub screw.
Typical sizes (standard cross clamp):
| Wire dia. | X (in) | Y (in) | Z (in) | Weight (lb) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/8" | 0.67 | 0.75 | 0.67 | 0.07 |
| 5/32" | 0.79 | 0.83 | 0.79 | 0.08 |
| 3/16" | 0.79 | 0.91 | 0.79 | 0.09 |
| 1/4" | 0.79 | 0.99 | 0.79 | 0.11 |
Types in the range:
| Type | Wire range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard cross clamp | 1/8" – 1/4" | Cross fixing |
| Surface-mount cross clamp | 1/8" – 3/16" | Threaded base, screws onto a surface anchor bolt |
| Two-part wire clamp / stop | 1/8" – 1/4" | Wire clamp or shelving stop |
| 90° cross clamp (net clip) | 3 mm – 6 mm | Grub screw lock, 25-pack |
Use limits. Not for lifting. Use for wire rope guidance only — not as an end connector.

What is a wire rope cross clamp used for?
It locks two crossing wire ropes together at the joint, so a wire grid keeps its shape at each intersection.
What size cross clamp fits 3 mm wire rope?
The range covers 1/8" to 1/4" (about 3.2–6.4 mm), so 3 mm wire fits.
Can a cross clamp be used for lifting?
No. It is not for lifting, and not an end connector.
How is it installed?
Lay the wires across the clamp slots, then tighten the hex head grub screw with an Allen key.
