Stainless Steel Wire Rope Cross Clamps — Cable & Mesh Cross Clips

A wire rope cross clamp locks two cables together where they cross. It gives a wire grid a rigid joint at every 90° intersection, so you do not have to drill the wall at each crossing point.

The clamp is 316 stainless steel and fits 1/8" to 1/4" (about 3.2–6.4 mm) wire rope (ISO 2408). A hex head grub screw does the clamping, tightened with an Allen key (ISO 2936). Use it for cable railing, trellis runs and wire netting.

Product Features

  • Locks a 90° cross. A fixed-direction cross clamp built for the crossing point of two wire ropes.
  • Grub screw lock. Tighten the hex head grub screw with an Allen key to grip the wire.
  • Fits 1/8" to 1/4" wire. Several sizes match different cable diameters, from 3 mm to 6 mm.
  • Three fittings in the range. A standard cross clamp, a surface-mount type with a threaded base that screws onto a surface anchor bolt, and a two-part wire clamp used as a stop.
  • 316 stainless steel. Holds up outdoors and in damp conditions.
  • Clean, simple shape. The plain design suits exposed architectural and landscape work.
  • Clear limits. Not for lifting. It guides and holds wire rope; it is not an end connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wire rope cross clamp used for?
It locks two crossing wire ropes together at the joint, so a wire grid keeps its shape at each intersection.

What size cross clamp fits 3 mm wire rope?
The range covers 1/8" to 1/4" (about 3.2–6.4 mm), so 3 mm wire fits.

Can a cross clamp be used for lifting?
No. It is not for lifting, and not an end connector.

How is it installed?
Lay the wires across the clamp slots, then tighten the hex head grub screw with an Allen key.
