Thimble Types
- Standard Open Thimble — most common, low-cost, ideal for general rope loops. Sizes 2 mm to 50 mm rope diameter.
- Tube Thimble (Solid) — closed round tube design, used where the rope eye must pass through a smaller fitting or pulley.
- D-Ring Thimble — flat D-shaped body, used for safety lanyards, climbing, and slings.
- Delta Ring Thimble — triangular body for paraglider risers, climbing anchors, and rigging plates.
Material & Finish
- AISI 304 stainless — general indoor and outdoor use
- AISI 316 / 316L stainless — marine, saltwater, chemical exposure
- Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel — cost-effective industrial hardware
- Polished, satin, or self-color finishes
Sizing & Selection
Select a thimble matched to your wire rope diameter. The thimble’s inner groove must fully seat the rope without pinching. Standard sizes cover 2 mm to 50 mm rope diameter; larger sizes available on request. For 7×19 and 7×7 strand rope, always use a thimble to prevent fatigue failure at the eye.
